Abstract：

“Fire stagnation should be dispersed” means that in the disease of fire stagnation,dispersing and releasing,unblocking and regulating qi movement should be the treatment principle. Chaihu Guizhi Decoction（ 柴 胡 桂 枝 汤 ） can not only soothe liver and regulate qi,but also warm and disperse. Therefore,modified Chaihu Guizhi Decoction can be used to treat various diseases caused by fire stagnation,such as tonsillitis,insomnia,headache,stuffiness and fullness,usually with significant effect.
